Cultural Committee

The Cultural Committee plays an important role in reinforcing the cultural relations between Belgium and Japan. It includes representatives of the Embassy of Japan and of prominent figures from the Belgian and Japanese cultural, academic and business circles. It organises cultural events such as:

• Exhibitions (private visits to exhibitions of Japanese, Belgian or European art)
• Concerts (group participation in concerts by famous Japanese or European orchestras, ensembles or musicians are organised several times a year, followed by a cocktail)
• Cross cultural workshops and seminars (cooking class, handicrafts making, golf tournament and initiation, lectures of history /philosophy)
• Performances of various Japanese arts: dance, theatre, etc.
• Discovery of Belgian historical sites and products（castle visit, chocolate/brewery visit)
