In the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic, some events can hugely impact the future of Europe.
The BJA EU Committee is honored to invite you to a session in which Professor Steven Van Hecke will share his views on the impact of the German elections and the new coalition on the future of Europe, the French Presidency of the European Council and the upcoming French presidential elections, the strained relations between the EU with Hungary, Poland and others on the principle of the rule of law, and the new post-Covid geo-political scene in which the European Union needs to navigate.
You will hear the expert's view and you will have the occasion to ask your questions.

Steven Van Hecke is professor in Comparative and EU Politics at the KU Leuven Public Governance Institute. His research and publications focus on EU institutions and European integration history. He teaches, among others, 'Governance in the EU' to master students at the KU Leuven. He regularly comments on current EU affairs (such as the Brexit) in the Flemish media.
Danielle Vermaelen is a certified public accountant, specialised in audits of European funds.
