BJA Premier Member Networking Event – Discover. Connect. Collaborate.
Tuesday 27 October 2026 The Nucleus

The BJA Legal & Tax Committee is pleased and honored to invite you to an exclusive roundtable luncheon kindly hosted by Deloitte with Hiroyuki Kato, Japan Peppol Authority Leadership of the Digital Agency Japan.
This special gathering will bring together a select group of representatives from Japanese and non-Japanese multinational companies headquartered in Belgium for an open exchange of experiences and perspectives on the ongoing digital transformation of tax and business processes.
The discussion will focus in particular on Belgian e-invoicing, including companies' practical experiences with its implementation and the opportunities and challenges surrounding the forthcoming evolution towards e-reporting. Mr Kato is currently exploring developments in this area in the context of Japan's own digital transformation and e-invoicing initiatives.
This exclusive exchange will offer participants a valuable opportunity to share their experiences, insights and expectations, while contributing to an international dialogue on the future of digital business processes. In addition, Deloitte will provide a comprehensive update on best practices, lessons learned from practical experience, and key do’s and don’ts for navigating e-invoicing and e-reporting mandates, offering participants relevant takeaways to support their companies’ next steps.
This invitation is open to Japanese and Belgian business representatives with experience with tax and e-invoicing. We warmly invite you to join this interactive discussion and luncheon, where the perspectives of participating companies will help create a meaningful exchange between Belgian and Japanese stakeholders.

Hiroyuki Kato began his career at Ministry of Finance Japan and played a key role in Tax Policy Bureau for more than 10 years. From September 2021, Mr Kato has the responsibility in leading the e-invoice initiative not only domestic but also international, as a leader of Japan Peppol Authority.
