Exclusive Lunch Meeting: Single Permit, where are we and where are we going?

The BJA Investment Committee is honored to invite you to an engaging and exclusive lunch meeting with Attorney Frank Judo, Dean of the Dutch speaking Order of the Brussels Bar Association, on Tuesday, 20 May 2025. This event offers a unique opportunity to engage in discussions with the Dean and fellow BJA members on a highly relevant and timely topic: the Single Permit in its broadest sense and from a legal perspective, including concerns about the integration course. This lunch meeting is furthermore an opportunity for BJA Members to share insights and concerns regarding the Single Permit and the integration course in view of a discussion BJA is planning with Minister Anneleen Van Bossuyt, Minister of Asylum, Migration, Social Integration, and responsible for Urban Policy.

The Single Permit is a topic of great importance and plays a crucial role for many Japanese companies and expats in Belgium. On invitation of the Dean, Attorney Bernard Caris, a leading expert in the field of business immigration, will address us on the crucial subject of work and single permits for foreign employees, from a legal and a practical perspective.

Matthias Lommers, Partner at Deloitte and Member of the BJA Legal & Tax Committee, will share experiences and concerns of the Japanese business community on this important topic.
