Ryusuke Hamaguchi - Evil Does Not Exist (10/04)

After his Oscar-winning, tremendously successful film Drive My Car, film master Ryusuke Hamaguchi emerges even more intimately and poetically. Evil Does Not Exist is once again a strong example of Zen cinema.

In the film, we follow single father Takumi's daily routine in a serene village near Tokyo. He gathers water, chops wood, and forages ingredients. His peaceful life is interrupted when a talent agency plans to build a Glamping site in the village's woods. The film is a meditative tribute to preserving and cherishing nature.

He teamed up once again with incredible musican Eiko Ishibashi.
