Green Business Mission in Japan 2027 - Applications Now Open

The mission will take place in Tokyo from 23 to 26 March 2027, alongside Smart Energy Week / Sustainability Management Week 2027, including exhibition opportunities at the Decarbonisation Expo and Circular Economy Expo.

This new edition offers an opportunity to build on your previous experience, reconnect with Japanese business contacts and explore further business opportunities in Japan.
Companies that participated in previous editions are welcome to apply again. All applications will be assessed according to the standard selection criteria.

The mission targets European companies developing innovative technologies and solutions in:
•    Renewable and clean energy, including hydrogen, solar, wind and biomass
•    Energy storage, smart grids and energy management
•    Battery technologies, EV integration and charging solutions
•    Industrial decarbonisation and energy efficiency
•    Circular economy, recycling and resource efficiency
•    Environmental and sustainability-related technologies

•    Tailored support for 1-to-1 meetings with Japanese counterparts
•    Interpretation support at the booth and trade fair
•    Translation and printing support for company profiles/posters

•    Hotel accommodation during the mission period
•    On-demand IP-related advice and Public Procurement Tender Scan

Participants are expected to cover their travel to/from Japan, local transportation, meals and other living expenses. A refundable deposit and, where applicable, a contribution fee apply.
