Cultivating connections in the Belgian-Japanese business community
Thursday 19 September 2024 Digital Event
“African nations are no longer Japan’s aid recipients. They are Japan’s partners for growth”, Prime Minister Shinzō Abe, Asian-African Summit, April 2015
Recent studies have shown a significant increase of project finance investments sponsored by Japanese companies in Africa. Belgium has a strong relationship with several African countries, rooted in their common history. Legal, financial and trade expertise as well as excellent connectivity and a thorough knowledge of the local culture make the Kingdoman obvious hub for Japanese investors wishing to develop their business in Africa.
As part of the celebration of 150 years of diplomatic relations between Japan and Belgium, the time is right for African, Belgian and Japanese business makers to gather and explore ways to further work and develop together the vast growth potential offered by Africa.
