Biotech Business Mission to Japan 2026 – Applications open

The EU-Japan Centre is currently calling for applications for its Biotech Business Mission to Japan, to be organised from 5 to 9 October 2026 in Osaka and Yokohama.

· Mission dates: 5–9 October 2026
· Application deadline: 19 June 2026
· Venue: Osaka and Yokohama, Japan
· Number of participants: Up to 16

Unique opportunity for B2B meetings!
Participants will have the opportunity to take part in the EU-Japan Biotech & Pharma Partnering Conference in Osaka and participate in BioJapan 2026 in Yokohama, with exhibition space within the joint EU-Japan Centre booth.

Target sectors:
The mission targets companies and clusters active in the following fields:
- Drug discovery
- Drug discovery support, including AI-assisted drug development
- Regenerative medicine
- Digital therapeutics, including drug-device combinations and non-pharmacological therapy systems

Support provided:
- Joint booth, partnering support and interpretation
- Local transfer between Osaka and Yokohama
- Hotel accommodation during the mission period, arranged by the EU-Japan Centre

Costs:
- Participants are expected to cover travel to/from Japan, living expenses, local transportation and meals.

Programme objectives:
- Explore partnering opportunities with Japanese biotech, pharma and healthcare companies
- Meet and network with potential business partners in Japan
- Showcase technologies and services to prospective Japanese partners
- Gain practical insights into the Japanese biotech, pharma and healthcare ecosystem
