Conferment Decoration to Mr Edward De Beukelaer
The Belgium-Japan Association & Chamber of Commerce would like to congratulate Mr Edward De Beukelaer on the conferment of decoration “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette” to him by the government of Japan.
The BJA is honoured to have him as Vice-President, and indebted to his expertise and wisdom he gladly shares to the benefit of Belgium-Japan relations.

Tax Refund Documents Red Cross
Concerning the donations to the Red Cross you have transferred via the BJA (over 40 euro), we can inform you on behalf of the Red Cross of Belgium that the tax refund documents are sent to you directly (the address which refers to the bank account number the money came from) in March 2012, to be included in your tax file of June 2012.
This is the standard procedure for the Belgian Red Cross.
この度は東日本大震災により被害に見舞われました、被災地／被災者への為、義援募金支援に協力頂き、誠にありがとうございました。
お振り込み頂きました義援金(40ユーロ以上)につきましては、来年２０１２年、３月にベルギー赤十字社より、振り込みご依頼人宛に、税還付書類が発行されます。こちらは来年６月の税金申告の際、ご提出下さい。

Passing away of Mr Domique le Hodey, BJA Vice-President
Mr Thomas Leysen, President, the Board of Directors and the staff at the Belgium-Japan Association & Chamber of Commerce, announce with profound sadness the loss of our dearest friend and Vice-President, Mr Dominique le Hodey, who has passed away on Thursday 25 August.
We express our sincerest condolences to his wife, children and family.
The funeral will take place on Monday 29 August at 11 o’clock at Eglise Saint-Adrien, avenue Général Dossin de St Georges, 1050 Brussels.
To live in hearts we leave behind

Updates Donation possibilities 東日本大震災義援募金のお知らせ
Dear members,
To help the people who are suffering from the aftermath of the disaster that struck on the 11th of March, we would like to inform you of the possibility to donate financially.
There are several possibilities we can suggest:
Donations via the Belgium-Japan Association & Chamber of Commerce:

Communication: AID JAPAN
The BJA transfers the donations fully to the Belgian Red Cross, as suggested by the Japanese Embassy of Belgium on Monday 14 March. The Red Cross will send a tax deduction document to all who have donated more than 40 euro, as we provide all necessary information. The funds will be entirely directed to the Japanese Red Cross.

ＢＪＡ平成20年度外務大臣表彰受賞のレセプション写真集
The Japanese Embassy in Belgium officially informed the BJA that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan awarded in Tokyo on July 15, 2008 the Belgium-Japan Association & Chamber of Commerce a commendation for the outstanding role the BJA plays in fostering the relations between both nations.
The certificate of commendation was bestowed upon the BJA during a reception at the residence of HE Ambassador Hayashi on Thursday 2 October in Brussels.
この度、ＢＪＡは平成20年度外務大臣表彰候補者団体に挙げられ、7月15日に行われた表彰式の席にて正式に受賞者団体の一団体に選ばれました。
日本と諸外国との友好親善関係の増進に努め、その功績に称えるこの名誉ある外務大臣表彰は10月2日に林大使公邸で開かれたレセプションの席にてＢＪＡに授与されました。
